Q: Who is HUND Denmark?

HUND Denmark is a family-owned pet care brand from Denmark, inspired by Danish minimalism and simplicity. Now operating in the US, we provide natural and holistic solutions for dogs. Our high-quality, all-natural leather dog collars mimic a dog's skin, preventing matting and pulling while reducing irritation. Each item is meticulously handcrafted with hand-stitched details, ensuring a touch of exclusivity and luxury in every piece. Designed to make walking your dog a delightful and stylish experience, we are committed to excellence and enhancing the well-being of pets everywhere.

Q: What materials are HUND Denmark dog collars made from?  We specialize in collars and leashes made from all-natural Italian made leather without unnecessary chemicals. This clean leather mimics a dog’s own skin chemistry making it hypoallergenic and perfect for preventing irritation and itching in the neck area. The leather is buttery soft and luxurious.

Q: What sizes are available for HUND Denmark dog collars? Our collars come in various sizes to fit all breeds. Typically from size 8" to 24" but we can accommodate larger sizes upon request. Please refer to our size guide to find the perfect fit for your dog.

Q: Are your products safe for dogs with sensitive skin?  Yes, our collars are designed to be gentle on sensitive skin, reducing the risk of irritation and discomfort.

Q: Where are your products made? Our dog gear is made and imported from Europe by our skilled leather artisans.

Q: Do your products ship from Denmark? All our non-custom made products ship directly from our office near Dallas, Texas in US. 
Our custom made products such as the custom made harness ship from Europe and may take 2-6 weeks to arrive to you.

Purchasing and Shipping

Q: How long is your shipping time?  It currently takes 2-3 business days for a package to arrive at your door step via USPS.
Please note that occasional delays may occur that are out of our control.

Q: How can I place an order?  You can place an order directly through our website. Simply select your desired product, add it to your cart, and proceed to checkout. 

Q: What payment methods do you accept? We accept various payment methods including credit/debit cards, PayPal, and other secure payment options.

Q: Do you offer international shipping on your website?  Yes, but currently only to Canada. For shipping outside of US you can visit our ETSY store at www.etsy.com/shop/HUNDdenmarkUS

Q: How do I care for and maintain my HUND Denmark dog collar? To maintain the quality of your leather collar/leash, wipe it clean with a damp cloth and avoid submerging it in water. Use a leather conditioner occasionally to keep the leather soft and supple. 

We also recommend polishing the solid brass hardware for optimum shine with a polishing product such as Brasso. 
Q: Is the leather collar suitable for everyday water exposure?

Our collars are made from high-quality Italian leather and are designed for everyday wear, including occasional exposure to rain, splashes, or light moisture.

However, leather is a natural material, and frequent or prolonged water exposure (such as daily swimming, bathing, or being submerged) can shorten its lifespan over time. For dogs who swim regularly or are often in water, we recommend removing the leather collar and using a waterproof alternative during those activities.

If the collar does get wet, simply let it air dry naturally away from direct heat. With proper care, our leather collars will age beautifully and last for years.

Q What if I didn't receive my package?

At HUND Denmark, we take great care in ensuring your handcrafted items arrive safely. All orders include tracking details once shipped. Once a carrier such as USPS, UPS, or FedEx marks a package as “Delivered,” it confirms the order was successfully delivered to the address provided at checkout.

Please note that HUND Denmark is not responsible for packages lost, stolen, or missing after confirmed delivery. In these cases, we recommend checking with neighbors, household members, or your local post office for possible misdelivery.

For orders over $250, we may require a signature upon delivery to ensure safe receipt. Customers who wish to add signature confirmation or insurance coverage to their shipment may contact us prior to shipping.

While we cannot refund or replace orders once marked delivered, our team is happy to assist you in filing a carrier claim and may, at our discretion, offer a courtesy discount toward a future purchase as a gesture of goodwill.

Q: Why Is Leather the Preferred Material for Dogs?

After comparing the different materials available for manufacturing accessories for dogs, it has been found that leather is the most natural material for dogs. This is because leather contains properties that are most similar to the natural chemistry of dogs, and at the same time is also extremely soft and comfortable. When dogs wear accessories made of leather material, it is so comfortable that some dogs don’t feel them and even fall asleep when wearing them.

The comfort of leather also means that dogs won’t constantly move about and can relax more.
